Flyfishing for trout in Montana is unique.
Every day is different: exhilirating, challenging, rewarding, cold, hot, heart-achingly beautiful... usually all of the above before noon. Then there are the big trout abundant in these clear cold waters, and the day slips away much too fast.
At the end of the day you've landed a few and lost a few, but had some great fun -

Over the last nine years in Montana, I have spent my time guiding, learning and understanding the constantly changing freestone rivers that make Missoula, MT, a preferred fly-fishing destination for anglers worldwide. Tug Fishing is based out of Missoula and calls the 300+ miles of rivers nearby home. Bringing people to the water to share my passion is why I founded Tug Fishing.
Let me show you a few of my favorite places to fish…
